456 words today - total stream of consciousness poem
It has been a horrible couple of days
We had to say goodbye to our dear dear hound, Lucius on Thursday.
I really wanted to hide away here but writing helps so, so much as I am sure most of you who have ever written will know.
As I am sitting here now in my writing room there is a small setee opposite me where he always used to sit. Always on the left side - so I just had to make sure it was clear for him to sit down. I can still see him there 💔
There are no words.
And yet…..
I honestly could write reems and reems about my dogs, both of them. And I already have. So many stories and good time. My daughter has already written the most beautiful story. (Our other hound - LuLu’s granddaughter is a little lost at the moment. She is trying to comfort everyone in the house, going from room to room making sure everyone is OK. I totally know how she feels).
Out of sadness always comes creation.
Here he is with me as I sang a few years ago (you can just see our then new puppy in the background trying to get to us)
Thank you for reading this
