Harp by the river

It’s been a while (again).

I do love writing and will get back to it eventually. Same with singing, which I’ve been doing lots of with my boy - just humming tones to him.

He’s been matching the note and it’s lovely to see. REALLY beautiful. My daughter, Poppy, is a total gem. She’s 13 and spends so much time with her little brother. He adores her. And she captured this lovely moment this week. (Luna hasn’t left his side - she’s in bottom right corner)

She knows him inside and out and often notices things that even I do not. She’ll watch him at bedtime while I go and fetch his milk/have a break, then report back why he might be upset - “definitely his legs clicking this time mum”.

Hypermobility is a big thing for Robin. He’s about the ‘stretchy-est’ kid the physios have seen!

But equally he’s got amazing core muscle strength. (I put that down to him being in these good old-fashioned prams where he’s sat up but using those stomach muscles to sit up straight - unless, of course, he's sat all cosy and asleep).

Anyway, like I say, Poppy is a gem. I owe her thousands of (imaginary) pounds for all the times she’s got Robin to sleep at night!

This “epilepsy” thing is getting us down. I’ve put it in parenthesis as it’s still not clear what’s going off. Lots of research to do as don’t seem to get many answers from the doctors. What kind of seizures are they even? What causes them? They don’t want to address these questions.

Anyway I was logging on briefly to share some music instead today because it comes easily and is pretty quick. I have none of my own at the moment because I honestly do not have the headspace to even re-watch and sift through the endless videos I have on my phone.

Instead I’m sharing with you the gorgeous video above made by my sister She works so hard at her music. You cannot fathom the amount of work it takes. She also works three days in a week in a “normal” job and in addition to all this is a really great Auntie to my kids, I honestly don’t know where I’d be without her.

So, yeah, please give her music a listen/follow folks! All the hard work is starting to pay off (hope she wont mind my sharing that she just had a big pay-out from streaming royalties today - she deserves every single penny too and maybe she won’t have to be at the boring day job much longer…?).
