Multi-tasking

many things at once

or killing two birds with one stone.

When you are a mother there are many, many things to get done in a day, and it really never ends. (I just woke from an early evening nap to write this - it’s a contented kind of tired as life is full of good things right now).

In this video I am walking the dog, getting fresh air for the little one while the dinner was cooking itself at home. I’m also teaching my son the songs of his ancestors while trying not to trip up AND making sure the dog does not go off too far, nor after any deer (it is Sherwood Forest after all). This could also be classed as weight training as the little one is a heavy lad now!

Looking back (this was filmed in late February so just over two months ago) the woods look so, so very bare.

Here is what it is like now:

The bluebells and yellow archangel look beautiful against the greenery and the hawthorn smells so lovely.

This song is one of the tracks off mine and Alisa’s new album (except there I sing it accompanied by the harp). It is called Reynardine and it actually makes me a tad melancholy to sing this song even though there is a happy outcome (compared to many folk songs).
