This is gorgeous. Thank you, Julie. You have a fan now in New Mexico (if you haven't already). The snug in the pub reminds me of my days in graduate school in Cork City, Ireland, but even more so, a pub in Dingle, Co. Kerry, where I would hear singing in Irish. Haunting, evocative, deeply soulful... like we are connected through all the centuries...

Hi Julie, It was lyrics and the tune/melody in your singing and the various versions of the song that evoked the connection to the Irish singing - not the language, per se. Just that feeling of OLD connections, rich and deep. By the way, I am in the US; New Mexico is a state here in the Southwest, just North of Mexico. I think we share a connection through the London Writers' Salon. Please keep sharing, singing, and writing - your voice is a gift.
