Tomorrow is the day

A sad bit from the first song

Well unlike the last album I not long ago released this one has been far easier and with less hype. I’m quite chilled but there has still been a fair bit to do.

I’ve named it One Morning In May after this song. This is a sad song and this particular clip is the saddest bit of all!! (I kind of look sad too at this point. I find that is the only way to sing a good folk song - to feel it).

I learnt it many years ago off the recording below - I believe it’s actually an Irish song and not to be mixed up with an English one that is sometimes called by the same name, though more likely named The Bold Grenadier. Hope there is no confusion there!

If you want to know what is coming up on this album here is a handy playlist of all the songs that I have recorded over the years, outside as usual. I’ll go through them all at some point but for now I am signing off to do last minute preps for a May Eve bonfire - just got to build it and go find some more wood then get some stuff to chuck on a BBQ.

Thanks for reading and look out in the next couple more days for some more seasonal songs.

Here’s the very first song in full:
